BAKU — President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has dispatched a congratulatory letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, as reported by Trend.

According to Trend News Agency, President Aliyev’s letter emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, celebrating their shared values and historical support. He highlighted the effective bilateral cooperation in various sectors, particularly in energy, and reiterated both countries’ commitment to supporting each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as per the principles of international law. Aliyev also recalled their recent productive meeting in the United Kingdom, expressing optimism about the future of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations.
