Rossbach: Social management and community work must also be financed in housing projects: 'If I were given 1 billion dollars, I would turn it into bigger financing,' Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Anacl¡udia Rossbach, said while answering the moderator's question, 'If you had 1 billion dollars, how would you use it?' during the session titled 'A New Deal for Housing Finance' held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rossbach highlighted that the crux of housing finance lies in amalgamating funds with various financial resources to create a more substantial investment opportunity. She proposed that a portion of these funds could be directed toward guarantees to mitigate investment risks, while another segment could be used as subsidies to bridge the gap between people's purchasing power and housing costs.

Rossbach further emphasized that financing should extend beyond just the construction and infrastructure of housing projects. She advocated for the inclusion of social management and community work as essential components that must also be funded. The UN-Habitat chief stressed that social work with residents, management of residential complexes, and community mechanisms are pivotal for securing the long-term sustainability of housing projects.
