Baku: SOCAR has begun delivering Uzbek-produced naphtha to international markets via the Black Sea, Head of Global Business Development at SOCAR Trading Toghrul Kocharli said at the Business Forum held as part of the 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency,SOCAR has long been engaged with Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, transporting approximately 4 million tonnes of oil from these nations to international markets annually. This year marks Uzbekistan's addition to this network, as SOCAR Trading initiates the supply of naphtha, a key petroleum product from Uzbekistan, to global markets through the Black Sea route.
Kocharli emphasized SOCAR's substantial investments aimed at enhancing infrastructure capacity to boost transit capabilities. The objective is to efficiently satisfy the increasing demand from partner countries across the Caspian Sea, develop additional transit capacity, and further advance the region's logistics capabilities.
