SOCAR Reports AZN 86.3 Billion Revenue Amid Strategic Expansions in 2025

Baku: SOCAR's revenues reached AZN 86.3 billion in 2025, marking a significant year shaped by geopolitical uncertainties and rising global demand for natural gas. In response to these challenges, SOCAR strategically expanded its international asset portfolio and improved its operational efficiency and cost optimization measures.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, SOCAR pursued several key investment and business transactions in 2025. These included acquiring an 80% interest in the Bahar and Gum-Deniz fields and a 10% effective interest in the Tamar gas field offshore Israel. The company also developed new petrochemical and energy projects in Trkiye, invested strategically in digital infrastructure and petrochemicals, and expanded gas exports and international partnerships.

The net profit was approximately AZN 3.0 billion. The company's EBITDA grew by 26% from the previous year to AZN 10.9 billion, largely driven by sales of crude oil, petroleum and chemical products, and natural gas. The increase in profit from operating activities significantly boosted cash flows, which rose by 136%.

As Azerbaijan's largest taxpayer and employer, SOCAR plays a crucial role in the country's socio-economic development. In 2025, the company contributed AZN 3.8 billion to the State through dividends, taxes, and social expenditures, and over the 2021-2025 period, these payments totaled AZN 15.9 billion. During the same period, the State invested a total of AZN 1.6 billion in SOCAR.

Furthermore, SOCAR's consolidated financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025, received an unmodified audit opinion from Ernst and Young Holdings (CIS) B.V., reflecting the company's strong financial health and transparency.
