Uzbekistan Airports Engage with IATA to Enhance Aviation Development


TASHKENT – Uzbekistan Airports recently held discussions with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to explore development opportunities for airports and civil aviation in Uzbekistan. The collaboration focuses on improving passenger services and enhancing training for airport personnel, aiming to advance the quality and safety of air transport in the region.



According to Trend News Agency, the meeting between Uzbekistan Airports, including Tashkent airport management, and IATA representatives, focused on several strategic development aspects. The talks highlighted the potential for improved passenger service quality and the expansion of training programs for various airport staff categories. IATA has expressed readiness to support these initiatives by facilitating specialized training aimed at elevating operational standards.



Rafael Schwartzman, IATA’s Regional Vice President for Europe, commented on the progress of Uzbekistan’s aviation sector, noting the alignment of the country’s civil aviation with IATA’s policies and standards. This alignment underscores the significant developments within Uzbekistan’s aviation industry and its potential impact on regional air travel.



The International Air Transport Association, a pivotal entity in the aviation sector, was established in 1945 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada. It plays a crucial role in fostering cooperation among airlines to ensure safe, reliable, and economical air transport globally.
