BAKU: A meeting at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health with a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Zamin International Public Fund, led by Executive Director Tamila Aliyeva, underscored the strengthening healthcare collaboration between the two nations.
According to Trend News Agency, Azerbaijan’s Health Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized the deep-rooted historical connections between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, noting the robust bilateral cooperation that continues to thrive. Musayev highlighted the importance of mutual visits and regular leadership meetings in bolstering relations.
The minister praised the existing healthcare partnership, referencing the “Uzbek-Azerbaijani Health Decade” held in Tashkent last October. This event, marking the centennial of Heydar Aliyev, a notable figure in the Turkic world, saw medical professionals from both countries conduct over one hundred surgical operations and health assessments using advanced technology. ization of Turkic States in Shusha, several memoranda of understanding were signed between major medical institutions in both nations.
Musayev also acknowledged the role of the Zamin International Public Fund in promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life in Uzbekistan. He praised the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for its significant contributions to enhancing healthcare in Azerbaijan. The minister expressed optimism about the continued growth of bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector.
