Bishkek hosted the League of Mothers volleyball tournament, organized in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence. The event involved the participation of over 70 women’s teams from across the republic, categorized into age groups of over 25, over 35, and over 50.

According to 24.kg News Agency, the tournament aligned with the global campaign 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Participants displayed their support for women and girls who have endured violence by wearing yellow ties and releasing yellow balloons collectively.

Taalaigul Toktakunova, a participant in the League of Mothers, emphasized that the tournament’s primary mission was to raise awareness about violence against women and girls. Since its inception in 2016, the volleyball League of Mothers has been an active platform for promoting social issues and engaging women in sports.
