World President of FIABCI Warns of Housing Needs for 3 Billion People by 2030

Abu dhabi: 'Around 3 billion people will face the need for access to housing by 2030,' said Antonio Campagnoli, World President of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), as he addressed a Business Assembly as part of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the World President highlighted that by 2030, these 3 billion people will exert pressure on governments, cities, markets, and institutions. They will demand access to safe, affordable, and climate-resilient housing, which poses a significant challenge to global housing policies.

Campagnoli's address points to an urgent need for strategic planning and policy-making that can accommodate the burgeoning demand for housing. This anticipated surge in housing requirements underscores the urgency for sustainable urban development and effective housing policies that can keep pace with the increasing global population.

The UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) serves as a platform for world leaders and stakeholders to discuss and strategize on urban issues, including housing. The forum's discussions are expected to influence future policies and actions to address the impending global housing challenge.
