Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, recently held a meeting with Israel's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ronen Krausz, to discuss potential agricultural cooperation between the two nations. The discussions centered on enhancing collaboration in the agricultural sector, with both parties expressing mutual interest in increasing trade turnover and expanding the activities of their working group.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Mammadov shared insights into the state support mechanisms for Azerbaijan's agriculture sector, emphasizing the government's commitment to agrarian reforms aimed at further developing the industry. He highlighted that these reforms are designed to bolster agriculture, with efforts underway to support this growth.
Minister Mammadov also reflected on his January visit to Israel, where he engaged with Avi Dichter, Israel's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security. During the visit, he explored leading centers focused on aquaculture and innovations, as well as modern livestock enterprises and dairy processing plants. He commended the beneficial collaboration that exists between Azerbaijan and Israel in the agricultural domain.
Ambassador Krausz noted the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries across various sectors, including agriculture. The meeting underscored the shared commitment to strengthening ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration in agricultural trade and initiatives.
