BAKU — An event titled “Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives of Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” recently took place in Baku, hosted collaboratively by the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bakhtiyor Mustafayev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, emphasized Uzbekistan’s strong interest in enhancing governmental cooperation with Azerbaijan across various sectors. Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center for the Analysis of International Relations, highlighted that both nations are committed to reinforcing their partnership, built on a robust foundation of shared ethnic, linguistic, and historical ties.
The Uzbek Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov, also expressed contentment with the current state of affairs between the two countries, noting the vast potential for further strengthening their mutual relationships. The speakers at the event underscored the importance of increasing efforts to advance bilateral relations, which have seen significant growth in recent years, marked by an agreement to intensify their strategic dialogue.
The discussions at the event culminated in panel sessions focusing on the future of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan cooperation.
