Azerbaijan Begins Resettlement of Internally Displaced Families in Aghdara District

Aghdara: Azerbaijan has initiated the resettlement process for internally displaced families in the Aghdara district, with convoys sent to the villages of Chydyran, Ashaghy Oratagh, Heyvali, and Chapar. The first resettlement occurred on January 9, as reported by APA's Karabakh bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the families were welcomed by the staff of the Special Representation of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts. Representatives from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons presented apartment keys to 89 families, totaling 337 individuals.

Sabuhi Gahramanov, the Deputy Special Representative of the President, and Telman Kerimli, the Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service, extended their congratulations to the resettled families, expressing hopes for a prosperous life in their new homes. The necessary infrastructure, including housing, utilities, and communication services, has been established in the villages.

The resettlement effort is part of the Great Return to liberated territories. The convoys have brought 31 families with 119 people to Ashaghy Oratagh, 26 families with 96 people to Chapar, 19 families with 74 people to Heyvali, and 13 families with 48 people to Chyldyran. Previously, these families lived in temporary accommodations across the country, such as dormitories and administrative buildings.

The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, and the Azerbaijani Army for their efforts in reclaiming the territories. They also paid homage to the martyrs who lost their lives in the conflict.
