"We have repeatedly called for an end to the war in Ukraine. This war must end," said Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian while delivering a speech at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Council held in Baku, APA reports.

The minister noted that Iran supports the peaceful settlement of disputes in the South Caucasus region.

He said that today he was received by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the minister, in a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, he understood that the Azerbaijani side is committed to the implementation of the trilateral statement.

Abdullahian added that Azerbaijan supports the opening of communication and transport roads reflected in the trilateral statement.

"This region has great potential in terms of transit. Iran supports cooperation to realize this goal and potential," the foreign minister said.

The FM also said that Iran is always against the changing of borders in the region.
