BAKU: Azerbaijan has summoned the European Union's ambassador, Peter Michalko, to the Foreign Ministry, delivering a formal note of protest concerning a resolution adopted by the European Commission on October 24. The protest was issued as Azerbaijan expressed strong condemnation of what it described as baseless and biased statements made by a European commissioner during discussions within the EU framework. According to Trend News Agency, Azerbaijani officials emphasized that ongoing negative campaigns against Azerbaijan through various EU institutions, statements, and actions infringe upon the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. They argued that such interference contributes to revanchism in Armenia and undermines regional peace efforts. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry asserted that the nation seeks to establish its relationship with the EU based on international law, mutual respect, equality, and shared benefits. Officials urged the EU to adhere to these principles, calling for an end to bi ased actions that could disrupt Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, interfere in its internal affairs, and threaten peace and stability in the region.
