BAKU: In alignment with a presidential decree, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board has successfully transitioned its entire information technology infrastructure to the national “Government Cloud” system. This move marks a significant step in the country’s broader digital transformation initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency and security of state-operated information systems.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the migration was executed through the Baku Data Center, managed by “AzInTelecom” LLC, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The shift to the cloud-based infrastructure ensures high availability and reliability of critical systems for the Azerbaijan Tourism Board. The cloud services provided include Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) for virtual servers and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) for data protection solutions.
The “Government Cloud” project, spearheaded by “AzInTelecom” LLC, involves the partial or complete migration of IT systems from various state institu
tions to data centers located in Baku and Yevlakh. This initiative is designed to reduce IT costs, increase system productivity, and improve the overall security and stability of government information systems. The project further aims to provide high-quality services with immediate coordination and continuous monitoring capabilities.
“AzInTelecom” LLC distinguishes itself as the first entity in Azerbaijan and the broader South Caucasus region to acquire the “TIER III” international compliance certificate. The organization operates data centers that adhere to “ISO 20000,” “ISO 22301,” and “ISO 27001” standards, confirming their commitment to maintaining robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure.
