Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Issues Travel Warning Amid Black Sea Tensions

Baku: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has once again called on Azerbaijani citizens to refrain from traveling to armed conflict zones and other high-risk areas, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ministry expressed regret that, despite repeated warnings, Azerbaijani citizens continue to travel to conflict zones, where some have been killed or injured. The statement highlighted the ongoing military operations in the Black Sea basin and the existing threats to civilian shipping due to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, and other weapons. The security situation in the region is described as extremely fragile, with increased risks to civilian vessels and their crew members.

The ministry urged citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to avoid travelling to areas with ongoing military operations or unstable security situations. This includes refraining from engaging in employment activities in such areas or working on means of transport operating along these routes, including maritime vessels. The ministry also recommended strict adherence to official travel advisories and contacting diplomatic missions and consular offices of Azerbaijan when necessary.
