Baku: Heydar Aliyev International Airport has unveiled plans to expand its flight network with new routes and the restoration of some existing ones.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the airport will see several airlines launching or resuming flights in the coming months, enhancing connectivity for passengers.
Starting March 2, Air Astana will operate flights twice weekly on the Baku-Almaty route. Fly Arystan will resume its Baku-Aktau flights from March 21. Additionally, from March 30, Pegasus Airlines will introduce regular flights to Dalaman, while Flynas will start direct services on the Baku-Dammam route. Uzbekistan Airways will increase its Baku-Tashkent flights to four times a week.
Beginning April 15, Aegean Airlines will resume direct flights between Baku and Athens, reestablishing connections between Azerbaijan and Greece. On April 28, AZAL will inaugurate direct flights to Tivat. The airport will also see an increase in flight frequency to key destinations such as Rome, Istanbul, Kuwait, and Riyadh. Flights to Tel Aviv will now be operated by AZAL, Israir, and Arkia, offering more options to travelers.
Passengers will benefit from direct access to major tourist and business hubs across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Popular destinations include Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Prague, Budapest, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Dammam, Beijing, Urumqi, Male, and Sharm El Sheikh.
