Earthquake Felt in Nakhchivan’s Districts After Tremors on Turkey-Iran Border

Nakhchivan – Several districts in Nakhchivan felt the effects of an earthquake originating from the Turkey-Iran border. The Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences reported the occurrence to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the earthquake, which had its epicenter 40 km southwest of the Heydarabad station on the Turkey-Iran border, was felt in the Sadarak, Shahbuz, Nakhchivan, and Sharur districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The tremors reached up to a magnitude of 4-3, with the earthquake recorded at a depth of 7 kilometers at 18:58 local time.

In a subsequent update, APA was informed by the Republican Seismic Survey Center that the quake was felt up to a magnitude of 3.0 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
