In the first half of 2023, Italy reduced the cost of oil imports from Azerbaijan by 20.3% compared to the same period last year, to $3.28 billion. During the reporting period, Italy imported Azeri Light oil for $2 billion 349 million (a decline of 15.7% year-on-year), Azeri Blend - $931 million (a decline of 30.2%). In June 2023, Italy imported $528.96 million worth of oil from Azerbaijan (a decline of 9.4%): Azeri Light brands by $263.969 million (an increase of 12.4%), Azeri Blend - by $264.991 million (a decline of 24%). Azerbaijan has become the largest supplier of oil to Italy in the first half of 2023. In January-June, Azerbaijan supplied 5,164 million tons of oil to Italy (Azeri Light - 3,703 million tons, Azeri Blend - 1,461 million tons), by 4.9% more than in the same period last year. During the reporting period, Azeri Light was purchased for $85.65/b (a decline of 22%), Azeri Blend - for $84.38/b (a decline of 27.1%).
