Kazakhstan and Mongolia Set to Elevate Trade and Economic Cooperation with New Roadmap.


Ulaanbaatar: Kazakhstan and Mongolia have signed a roadmap aimed at enhancing trade and economic cooperation for the years 2025 to 2027, Trend reports. The agreement was finalized following President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Mongolia. During a press conference to announce the signing of several key agreements, President Tokayev revealed that significant progress had been made in strengthening trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two nations.

According to Trend News Agency, President Tokayev stated, “Overall, there is every reason to believe that the negotiations were very successful. We agreed to activate economic contacts. Kazakhstan and Mongolia are among the largest countries in Asia, and our mutual trade should reflect that scale.” He highlighted that last year, the trade volume between Kazakhstan and Mongolia reached $150 million. Looking ahead, the President expressed optimism about increasing this figure to $500 million in the near future.

To achieve this ambitious goal
, President Tokayev emphasized the need to expand the range of goods exchanged and eliminate barriers to economic integration. Both governments have been tasked with taking necessary measures to facilitate this growth. “Today, we signed a roadmap for enhancing trade and economic cooperation,” he stated, marking a significant step forward in the bilateral relations between the two nations.
