Major Residential Development Underway in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek: Construction has commenced on a major residential complex in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, named the “Yntymak” residential complex. This ambitious project, spearheaded by the State Mortgage Company, was initiated by President Sadyr Japarov, who recently laid the foundation stone. The development aims to address housing needs for various societal groups, including social workers and migrants.

According to Trend News Agency, President Japarov emphasized the significance of the Yntymak complex, which will feature 18-story buildings across 18 hectares and include 8,100 apartments. The complex will be equipped with essential amenities such as roads, a school, two kindergartens, green spaces, and ample parking facilities. Additionally, commercial spaces will occupy the first floors of the buildings.

The allocation of apartments will be split, with half designated for social workers under favorable conditions, and the other half available to migrants and other citizens who can contribute 50 percent towards the con
struction costs. This strategy aims to accelerate the construction process for others in need of housing.

President Japarov also highlighted the broader housing initiatives across Kyrgyzstan, revealing that over 40,000 residences are currently under construction, covering a total of 2 million square meters. These developments are not limited to the capital but also include multi-story buildings in regional cities, with plans to expand into district centers and smaller towns next year.

A special program targeting socially vulnerable groups has been established to facilitate easier access to housing. This program offers housing on favorable terms, including options for long-term purchases without requiring a down payment.

The president also addressed the needs of migrant workers and other residents without homes, noting that 22,573 individuals are on the housing waiting list in Bishkek, with an additional 15,400 in the provinces. He encouraged people to consider registering for homes in surrounding districts
as well as in the city.

In his concluding remarks, President Japarov reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all citizens in need will have access to housing by 2028, reflecting a comprehensive effort to improve living conditions across the country.
