Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the outgoing Malaysian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza, marking the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. This meeting, held on June 19, was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News agency, the discussions between the two officials focused on the current state and future potential of Azerbaijan-Malaysia relations. Both parties highlighted the significance of enhancing political dialogue, increasing mutual visits and contacts, broadening trade and economic partnerships, and fostering collaboration in sectors such as energy, education, tourism, humanitarian efforts, and culture.
The dialogue also covered cooperation within international organizations. Both sides expressed satisfaction with their collaboration in the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral platforms. They recognized the importance of upcoming events, such as the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, to be hosted by Azerbaijan, in further strengthening bilateral ties.
Additionally, discussions touched upon the regional situation in the post-conflict period, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and opportunities for regional cooperation. Minister Bayramov extended his gratitude to Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza for his contributions to bilateral relations and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza expressed his appreciation for the support received during his tenure and expressed confidence in the continued development of Azerbaijan-Malaysia relations. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
