“The peoples of Iran and Azerbaijan are almost the ones with the most common denominator in the region, our people enjoy common fields and relations,” Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told journalists, APA reports.

“We believe that we will restore high-level ties and the relationship between Iran and Azerbaijan,” the Iranian FM noted.

The Iranian Minister also expressed his confidence that all problems in the South Caucasus will be addressed through peace and negotiations.
