Baku: The next stage of training on the topic 'Azerbaijani Language in the Media' has been organized at the Teleradio Academy operating under 'Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting' CJSC, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on the fourth day of the training, masterclasses were conducted by Rustam Aliyev, founder of 'Media FM' radio station, Honored Artist and speech culture specialist Sevda Agazade, and Honored Journalist, head of the APA Journalism School, Qabil Abbasoglu. The training focused on 'Successful communication: fluent speech and headline writing.'
During the training, Rustam Aliyev highlighted the significance of language as the main tool of journalism. He noted the influence of Persian and Arabic languages on Azerbaijani and stressed the importance of preserving the national vocabulary and reintroducing forgotten expressions to the media.
The session also covered the current state of the Azerbaijani language, the richness of vocabulary, and the importance of maintaining the language structure. Sevda Agazade provided insights on 'A beautiful voice and fluent speech - the road to success,' emphasizing the role of correct pronunciation in enhancing voice quality.
Participants were introduced to breathing techniques crucial for proper speech, with four main breathing methods explained. Proper breathing was highlighted as essential for high-quality voice production.
Qabil Abbasoglu addressed the topic of 'Headline writing,' identifying headline creation as a significant challenge in journalism. He highlighted that in a competitive media environment, effective headlines serve as a key tool for capturing audience attention.
The training underscored that subheadings should cater to search engines, remain within 60 characters, and incorporate relevant keywords. The main objective of the training sessions is to promote the correct, fluent, and literary-standard use of the Azerbaijani language in media.
