The secretary is said to have raised concerns while discussing Washington’s approach to fostering “healthy economic competition” with China, emphasizing the importance of a level playing field for American workers and businesses. The US official also said it is necessary for the two countries to cooperate, even in the face of disagreements, highlighting the importance of working together on shared global concerns.
In the same meeting, the Chinese vice premier reportedly expressed concerns over the anti-China sanctions imposed by Washington.
