Baku: Amr Moussa, the former Foreign Minister of Egypt and former Secretary-General of the Arab League, emphasized the necessity of establishing a State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel for peace in the Middle East. He made these remarks during a panel discussion at the 13th Global Baku Forum, focusing on 'Global Security and the Balance of Power: Respect for International Law, New Issues, New Challenges'.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Moussa criticized the UN Security Council for its inaction and highlighted the issue of double standards in international relations. He argued that these double standards have adversely impacted the global system and are evident in Western foreign policy. Moussa pointed out the lack of acknowledgment of the deaths of 60,000 Palestinians, describing this oversight as a significant injustice. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to find peaceful solutions and insisted that without a recognized State of Palestine, peace in the Middle East would remain unattainable.
