Arkadi Ghukasyan Admits No Armenian Language Problems in Karabakh During Court Hearing


Baku: During a hearing at the Baku Military Court, Armenian defendant Arkadi Ghukasyan admitted that there had been no issues with the Armenian language in Karabakh. Ghukasyan, while responding to questions from state prosecutors, noted that although he studied in Russian at school in Karabakh, the number of Armenian schools exceeded those in Azerbaijani and Russian.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the court hearings are part of the criminal case against several Armenian citizens accused of committing crimes against peace and humanity, and war crimes. The accusations also include the preparation and conduct of a war of aggression, acts of genocide, violations of the laws and customs of warfare, as well as terrorism, financing of terrorism, and the forcible seizure and retention of power. The hearings are set to continue on March 13.
