Baku Initiative Group Hosts Over 35 International Events Since 2023: Executive Director Highlights Achievements

Baku: The Baku Initiative Group has successfully organized over 35 international events focused on topics such as the consequences of colonial and neo-colonial policies, legal issues, protection of human rights, and the defense of indigenous peoples' rights, as announced by the Executive Director, Abbas Abbasov, at the International Youth Forum titled 'Strengthening the Role of Youth in the Post-Colonial Era.'

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abbas Abbasov emphasized that since 2024, the organization has transitioned into a think tank, publishing three books and releasing over 40 reports. The group has also submitted influential reports to international organizations and institutions. Abbasov highlighted the group's collaboration with more than nine overseas territories still affected by colonialism and over 15 countries facing neo-colonial challenges.

He stated that the Baku Initiative Group has established partnerships with the United Nations, including the UN Human Rights Council, the UN Human Rights Committee, the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, and the UN Youth Office, as well as with the Non-Aligned Movement.
