In the first quarter of 2024, nine hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 65.5 MW will operate in the Lachin region of Azerbaijan, with an annual energy production potential of 194 million kilowatt-hours, it was stated on August 25 during the opening ceremony of the small hydroelectric power plants "Mishni" (with a capacity of 8.25 MW) and "Alkhasly" (with a capacity of 6 MW) JSC "Azerenergy" in the Lachin region. It was noted that five small hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 40.5 MW have already been reconstructed and put into operation in the Lachin region, with an annual energy production potential of 120 million kilowatt-hours. Currently, work is continuing on the reconstruction of four stations.
