Baku: During the XII Global Baku Forum, a significant panel discussion titled “Global Health Crisis: New Frontiers in Preparedness and Equity” took place, where various experts convened to address pressing issues in global health.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Health Minister Teymur Musayev underscored the necessity of integrating artificial intelligence into legislation, advocating for its equitable use. He also highlighted the numerous challenges facing global health, such as pandemics and climate change, and stressed the importance of adhering to zero-emission principles and the establishment of “green hospitals.”
Ismail Serageldin, Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, highlighted the urgent need for active efforts to combat diseases like measles and rubella, particularly in underdeveloped countries. Former Moldovan Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici pointed out that misaligned priorities in the sphere of global health often lead to fragmentation and competition.
Former Israeli President Dalia Itzik emphasized the crucial role of international cooperation in addressing global health crises. She noted that infections transcend borders and stressed the significance of sharing lessons learned from past experiences to better prepare for future pandemics.
