Jeyhun Bayramov Highlights Stability in South Caucasus Amid Global Challenges

Istanbul: Today, there is stability in the South Caucasus with the participation of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Georgia. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized this during a joint press conference following a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Trkiye and Georgia in Istanbul.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov outlined two key directions that the three countries are taking in response to global challenges, conflicts, and military confrontations in their neighborhood. First, he highlighted their commitment to international law and consistent actions within international organizations to mitigate conflicts. He noted that these countries actively contribute to mediation missions, with efforts extending beyond public diplomacy.

Bayramov also addressed the impact of regional conflicts on energy security and supply chains, which threaten the economies of several countries. He contrasted this with the stable cooperation among Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Georgia, which has ensured uninterrupted energy project implementation and regulated air traffic between Europe and Asia through the South Caucasus. The minister pointed out that this cooperation enhances not only the welfare of their nations but also the energy security of numerous countries.

Highlighting Azerbaijan's role in energy exports, Bayramov mentioned that the country currently supplies natural gas to 16 countries, thereby bolstering their energy security. He also referenced recent advancements in transport and transit sectors, underscoring the positive outcomes of the trilateral partnership.
