Tbilisi: 'The East-West Highway, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Tbilisi Dry Port, and the Anaklia deep-sea port project strengthen Georgia's role in the Middle Corridor," said the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his speech at an event dedicated to International Customs Day, APA's local bureau reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia's geopolitical position has turned the country into a natural gateway at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. He highlighted that Georgia has become a reliable base for seven landlocked countries, providing them with access to global trade routes.
Kobakhidze further elaborated on Georgia's strategic goals, stating that the aim is to turn the country into a multifunctional regional hub. This ambition is expected to bring prosperity to both Georgian citizens and international partners. He noted that the strategy is founded on large-scale infrastructure projects, underlining the significance of these developments in enhancing Georgia's role in the Middle Corridor.
