President Ilham Aliyev Receives Credentials from New Albanian Ambassador.


Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of Besart Kadia, the newly appointed Ambassador of Albania to Azerbaijan, on October 31. The meeting, held at the presidential office, marked the beginning of Ambassador Kadia’s diplomatic responsibilities in Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the positive trajectory of Azerbaijan-Albania relations, underscoring the impact of reciprocal visits by the Presidents of both nations and the Albanian Prime Minister’s visit to Azerbaijan. President Aliyev noted that the upcoming participation of the Albanian Prime Minister in COP29 exemplifies the strong partnership between the two countries. He also acknowledged Albania’s consistent support for Azerbaijan’s stance in international forums where Azerbaijan lacks representation.

Ambassador Kadia extended greetings from Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to President Aliyev, who reciprocated with his own regards. Expressing enthusiasm about commencing his
role in Azerbaijan, the ambassador emphasized the importance of fostering friendship and cultural ties between the two nations. He reaffirmed Albania’s support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and commended Azerbaijan’s preparation efforts for COP29.

The discussions further delved into economic collaborations spanning sectors like energy, transport, trade, and tourism, with both parties expressing optimism about the future strengthening of bilateral ties.
