Baku: Train services between the '28 May' and 'Nizami' stations will be temporarily suspended from August 15 as part of the line separation project being implemented by Baku Metro CJSC, APA reports. As a supporting measure, six new express routes organized by AYNA began operating on August 14.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new express routes aim to facilitate smooth transportation for commuters affected by the train service suspension. The express routes are M1: 'Elmlar Akademiyasi' - '28 May', M2: 'Inshaatchilar' - 'Nizami' - '28 May', M3: '20 January' - 'Nizami' - '28 May', M4: '20 January' - 'Koroglu', M5: '20 January' - 'Ganjlik', and M6: 'Elmlar Akademiyasi' - 'Ganjlik'.
In addition to the new express routes, the number of buses operating on 20 regular routes will be increased to accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger volume. These routes include Nos. 2, 6, 7A, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 26, 61, 65, 79, 85, 88, 88A, 93, 133, 165, 199, and 202.
Furthermore, from August 13, the terminal stops of regular routes Nos. 32, 49, 120E, and 125 serving the '28 May' Transport Interchange Center were relocated around Samad Vurgun Park. The terminal stops for routes Nos. 32 and 49 have been designated on Dilara Aliyeva Street, while those for routes Nos. 120E and 125 have been designated on Pushkin Street.
