Baku: Baku is today recognized not only for its rich oil heritage, but also as one of the leading centers of global energy dialogue, Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said during the first meeting of the Technical Committee of the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation (CoC) in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister highlighted that Baku is a hub for numerous initiatives promoting international cooperation where important strategic issues are discussed, and key directions of the future global energy agenda are shaped. Energy is described as a pillar of economic development and a symbol of reliable partnership, mutual trust, and shared responsibility.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan is guided by these principles and continues to contribute consistently to strengthening global energy security, preserving market stability, and advancing international cooperation. Azerbaijan's active and constructive participation within the OPEC+ cooperation framework exemplifies its commitment to these principles.
Parviz Shahbazov further stated that as a participant in the Declaration of Cooperation, Azerbaijan has been actively and responsibly contributing to the stability of the global oil market for nearly a decade within the OPEC+ platform, with the aim of maintaining the balance between supply and demand.
